Naruto History
Naruto is a manga series Masashi Kishimoto that was adapted into an anime series . Naruto
manga revolves around the life of the main character , Naruto Uzumaki ,
an adolescent ninja who is noisy , hyperactive , and ambitious who
wants to fulfill his desire to obtain the title of Hokage , the leader
and the strongest ninja in his village . The series is based on one-shot comic by Kishimoto that was published in the August 1997 issue of Akamaru Jump .
Naruto manga was first published in Japan by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd issue of Shonen Jump magazine ) . Currently , the manga is still being serialized ; sixty- three tankōbon volumes have been released . Popularity and length Naruto series itself ( especially in Japan ) rival Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama , while the Naruto anime series , produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex , first broadcast in Japan by TV Tokyo network and also by special anime satellite television network , Animax , Network television stations and other TX , on October 3, 2002 to the present . The first series consists of 9 seasons and lasted 220 episodes . The first season of the second series began airing on February 15, 2007 .
The first DVD volume of Naruto : Shippuden was released by Viz in North America on 29 September 2009 , and started broadcast on Disney XD in October of the same year . Viz Media will begin to flow in both streaming services Neon Alley this fall . Naruto Shippuden will be airing on Adult Swim , Toonami January 2014 .
